1. Do you require a referral from my doctor?
No! Maine is a “direct access” state, meaning a prescription of a referral is not required. This eliminates extra steps, such as waiting for a doctor’s office visit, allowing the patient to begin treatment faster. Contact us today to schedule an appointment.
2. Do you take insurance?
Coastline is an out-of-network provider. We believe that insurance-driven physical therapy can often lead to double-booked appointments, less time with your therapist, limited service options, even the denial of treatment. We prefer to tailor a care plan that best suits your needs, with maximum flexibility and without third-party limitations.
3. Can my insurance company reimburse my visit?
Maybe! If you call your insurance company and ask “what are my out-of-network physical therapy benefits?” you may be eligible to receive a partial reimbursement directly from your insurance company. Coastline will provide you with a bill containing all the necessary information you’d need to submit.
4. Do you treat my specific injury?
Probably! Our comprehensive approach can diagnose almost any ailment and bring you relief. Not sure if physical therapy is the right solution to your problem? We are!
5. How many visits will it take until I feel better?
While the frequency and number of visits will vary by patient, treatment sessions are typically 1-2x/week for a total of 5-8 visits.
